Oh jeez, I deleted the old site.

As you might’ve realized, the old verge-rpg.com has been missing for a while! Whoops.
Here’s a new forum with non-custom software this time. I might’ve cut my teeth on being a full-stack developer by coding it from scratch in 2003… (and again in 2008…) but it turns out maintaining custom stuff SUCKS.
Also I have a static dump of the old site at: http://beta.verge-rpg.com, so there’s that!
-
Thank you for keeping the memories alive.

-
Do you have any plans to reupload the documentation pages from the old site? I noticed the static dump link returns a 404 error.
-
I’m doing a bunch of HDD forensics RIGHT NOW to try and find the stuff necessary to resuscitate it.
I’ll do my best.
-
Okay, any specific docs you want?
-
I’ve regenerated the v2 and v3 docs:
-
The Verge3 docs you uploaded are perfect, thanks so much!
-
Glad the Verge3 docs uploaded cleanly. Since the old site is gone, it might be worth checking whether anything else was hosted there before people assume it’s lost for good, like changelogs or older version snapshots. If you only needed v2 and v3 regenerated, that sounds like the main gap is covered, but I’d double-check the links resolve before the thread gets buried.

Checking that the links resolve is a good call before this gets buried. I’d also test the v2 and v3 pages on a couple of different browsers, since archived static docs sometimes break when relative asset paths are gone. On the changelog point, even a plain list of what each version changed would be useful alongside the regenerated docs. If anything else turns up from the old site, a simple index page linking the snapshots would keep people from assuming it’s all gone.
