As Ioachim just announced over at his site, maped3 now has brushes!
There's also a call to all y'all. Here, in his own words:
As this time I’m really getting into Maped, this is an official calling to all the Verge community: please ask for features, report bugs and give ideas of future development. So, people, any ideas? This is an alpha of the brush system, but fun to play with. Download a build here! The source to the project is available at http://www.verge-rpg.com/svn/verge3/branches/mapedprime/ (anonymous/anonymous).

Ben McGraw's Egometry.com - Where you can find weekly doses of SotS, and all-you-can-eat me. Also,Kildorf is a smelly joke of a man, barely worth being my arch-nemesis.

Comments, huh?
The only thing I could think of is to add custom-scripting abilitiy, to implement auto-boundary-tile brushes, or for map (random terrain) generation, or other things.
Then, whenever a verger comes up with a cool idea for improving mapping productivity, he can post the script for all to use!
This just seems to crowdsource more of the burden & scale better, once you pay the large, up-front investment cost of implementation.
...Or maybe it would be a plugin system?
Kudos!
